On Sunday, September 6th at 2:00 PM,  deputies with the Jennings County Sheriff's Office and were dispatched to the intersection of county road 700 West and 300 North in Geneva Twp. in reference to a crash with injuries involving a golf cart and a passenger van.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a golf cart was traveling Northbound on County Road 700 West and failed to stop at the intersection at 300 North. The golf cart struck an eastbound Ford Econoline Van that was approaching the intersection. 

A juvenile and an adult male that were traveling in the golf cart sustained injuries and both were transported by helicopter from the scene to Riley and Methodist Hospitals with critical injuries.  A second adult male on the golf cart was transported from the scene to St. Vincent Jennings Hospital. The occupants in the van were uninjured.

The investigation is still on-going by the Jennings County Sheriff's Office and the Indiana State Police Reconstruction Team.  Names will be released at a later time.

The Jennings County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Jennings County EMS, the Geneva Township Fire Department, the Indiana State Police Reconstruction Team and Stat-Flight helicopter.
